Johnston County Deputies Arrest Juvenile In String Of Break-Ins
FOUR OAKS – A series of recent break-ins in the Four Oaks area has been solved following the arrest of a juvenile.
Authorities say a 16-year-old suspect is believed to be responsible for approximately seven vehicle and storage building break-ins, as well as one residential break-in, all reported within the past week. The incidents occurred in the Heath Road area between N.C. 96 South and U.S. 701 South.
On Wednesday, Dec. 17, members of the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigations Division, along with the Narcotics Division, executed a search warrant at the juvenile’s residence. Deputies reported that the suspect became verbally confrontational and attempted to flee on foot.
During efforts to take the teen into custody, authorities say he assaulted two deputies by striking them with a closed fist.
As part of the search, investigators recovered several items believed to have been stolen during the break-ins from a shed on the property. Deputies also seized cell phones that reportedly contained photographs of additional stolen property connected to the incidents.
The juvenile has been charged with felony assault on a law enforcement officer and was transported to a juvenile detention center, where he is being held in secure custody. Authorities said additional charges related to the breaking and entering cases are pending.
The suspect’s name has not been released due to his age.

They’re no juvenile at 16.
I agree
Guess who’s not coming home this Christmas…
Unfortunately, I’m sure he will be back before Christmas…. I know because he was previously arrested for breaking into vehicles, and was released within a day or two!!! Prior to that I had called the sheriffs department because he tried to get physical with me in my backyard… Nothing was done ☹️ Even with a recording of him coming at me and threatening me… I guess it’s not a crime unless an actual assault takes place!! Juvenile or not this kid has been given way too many chances!!
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Unfortunately in NC you are not an adult until 18. Nothing happens to these “ kids” and they know it. Law changed couple years ago. Remember when you use to see all the kids on mug shots for drugs and fighting at SSS? Liberal government thought not their fault they don’t know better. They would have to murder or rape someone to go to detention center. This kid has been a menace and thought he was untouchable. I’m not sure what the Sheriff department did to get him locked up but thank god they did. He will probably be let go on “ probation” and back at it.
Need to charge the PARENTS.
If he’s going to act like a grown man, treat him like one.
Grown men don’t act that way, criminals do. Sadly, this 16 year old will grow to commit more and more crime because he was not held accountable . I believe parents should be held responsible when their child commits crimes. Maybe then they will take their responsibilities to raise decent children seriously.
Totally agree with Mr Thompson, it starts at home, If you don’t raise your children you’ll certainly have to raise your grandchildren. Apparently the parents deserve neither. If it was a job, they’d fire you. Those third world deportations where torture is an accepted means of training sound good to me.
If you can’t name the “juvenile”, how about naming the parents and address? Maybe a little public humiliation will impact the child’s decisions……apparently the parent doesn’t.
Where’s the parents
I agree about 90% of the time it’s because of an absent father or no discipline at home. Entitled young parents that just throw an iPad at them for a babysitter instead of sports. HOWEVER I know a few exceptions where the parents have tried everything but kid is just rebelling or an addict. Parents couldn’t beat it out of them. It’s sad because many could’ve had it made but hanging with wrong crowd and defiant towards parents. Now in jail or wandering the streets in and out of jail…
I live a few houses down from where I believe he lives. I remember when he was arrested the first time and nothing was done. I hope this time they do something before he hurst someone, or someone hurts him. We are tired of having to worry about our things that we have WORKED for getting stolen
