Man Faces Multiple Charges In Vehicle Theft Case

BENSON, N.C. — Four vehicles were reportedly stolen from a McGee’s Crossroads area property and sold to a local towing company under false pretenses.

Harold Mack Nall Jr., 54, of Bristol Lane, is accused of removing the vehicles from an address on S. Pleasant Coates Road in December. The vehicles included a Jeep Grand Cherokee, Dodge pickup, Honda van, and Dodge van.

Investigators said Nall sold the vehicles to a towing company, claiming they were his, and the company later scrapped them for parts.

Following an investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, Nall was arrested on January 16. He was charged with four counts of larceny of a motor vehicle, four counts of obtaining property by false pretenses, and felony conspiracy. Deputies said an additional arrest in the case is pending.

Nall also faces unrelated charges from Benson Police for possession of methamphetamine and possession of cocaine, stemming from an incident on January 14.

Bail was set at $130,000.
