BENSON – A 35 year-old man is facing multiple charges after he reportedly led a Johnston County deputy sheriff on a brief high speed chase that ended with a crash.

Daniel Kyle Holland of Broom Sage Drive, Angier was arrested April 7 after his release from the hospital where he had been undergoing treatment for his injuries.
On March 28 around 10:07pm, a deputy attempted to stop a black 2007 Suzuki motorcycle on Highway 210 near Highway 50 for a violation. The operator, later identified as Holland, refused to stop for the officer’s blue lights and siren and rapidly accelerated. The deputy quickly lost sight of the fleeing motorcycle.
While traveling in the 14000 block of Highway 210, the officer located the wrecked motorcycle. Holland had been ejected and was on the ground near the wrecked motorcycle.
After his release from the hospital, Holland was served with numerous charges including felony fleeing to elude arrest, driving on a revoked license, reckless driving, failure to heed light or siren, no operator’s license, possess/display altered or fictitious license, exceeding posted speed limit, failure to carry valid license, unsafe passing, driving the wrong way on a dual lane highway, felony possession of cocaine, and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia.
The motorcycle was seized.
His hair got jacked yp
My my yet ANOTHER macaroon
Daniel Holland, if you killed yourself, I would not have shed a tear. It was your choice to run from the law and it was a poor choice, real poor choice. But you are lucky to be alive so I sure do hope you will use this as an educational experience. Good job JCSO.
OK, Steve, time for your meds.
I saw this chase on 210. My wife and I were headed in the opposite direction of the chase and the motorcycle came by us so fast that it startled me. It seemed it’s lights were very dim. The deputy was surely losing ground quickly. My first thought was I hope he doesn’t injure anyone innocent and thankfully he didn’t. I wondered why I hadn’t seen anything on here about the chase. Glad to know.
You still can’t outrun the radios. Radios 1 Suspect 0. Good job JCSO!
I normally do not read the comments and I certainly do not respond to them. However I am making an exception because of someone’s ignorance and lack of compassion. Steve H I know this young man and he is a fine person who is going through a lot right now and has made some serious mistakes. That makes him human. For you to say that you would not shed a tear over his death was completely out of line. Do you know who would have shed tears over his death??? His mother, father, brother, and friends who love him and have likely read this article and your comments. You are an insensitive SOB! Jesus said to a crowd wanting to stone a woman to death “those of you without sin, throw the first stone”. Can you cast the first stone??
Don’t you tell me about the Bible you hypocrite while you call me a SOB! As a friend I would think you would be helping him as well as all his other friends that you say he has. You also say he is a good guy but the fact that he could have killed someone else does not seem to matter to you as well as he could have killed a LEO, but he is a nice guy with problems right. now, let’s not forget that there is a reason he has no license, had drugs and plenty of other things being charged with. Sound like he has been going thru a hard time for a LONG LONG TIME! I would however feel bad for his family in the event he was killed but I was not talking about his family.
What’s that around his neck?
I was thinking the same thing, it looks like some kinda brace from the hospital maybe to support his arm?
Love how chumps like make negative comments about someone who made a few bad choices. People who throw stones in a public forum are usually the ones who have a lot to hide. Most likely were punks in school and wet the bed till they were adults. Get a life and don’t pass judgement unless you want to be judged.
