Barbara Ann Turnage Williamson, 78, of Princeton passed away Thursday, February 2, 2023 at her home. She was born in Wilson County on December 9, 1944 to the late James Henry Turnage and Liberty Love Baker Turnage. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, LaFayette Williamson, Jr., a brother, Wesley Turnage, and a great grandson, Brayden Jordan.
Ms. Barbara was a member of the Princeton Baptist Church, serving in the LLL’s, as a Sunday School Teacher, and Summer Bible School Leader. She also served on the Princeton Improvement Women’s Club, and was a Boy Scout Leader. She took care of the concessions at the Little League ballfield and provided child care for a number of years in her home.
She is survived by sons, Jim Williamson (Deanne) of Raleigh, and Kent Williamson (Lisa) of Brentwood, TN; daughter, April Williamson of Princeton; grandchildren, Camille Jordan (Quint), Dr. Kelsey Williamson, Troy Williamson (Jenny) and Reed Williamson; great grandchildren, Lacey Jordan, Henry Jordan and Allison Williamson; and sister, Myrtle Turnage of Wilson.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at Casey Funeral Home and Cremations.
The funeral service will be held in the chapel of Casey Funeral Home and Cremations at 3:00pm on Sunday, February 5, 2023 with the Reverend Dwayne Batten officiating. A private burial will be held in Princeton Cemetery.
