Clayton – David Wood, age 69, passed away Sunday September 18, 2022 at UNC Hospital in Clayton. He was born in Georgia on July 2, 1953 to the late Dwey and Maude Jeffcoat Wood. In addition to his mother and father, he is also preceded in death by a daughter, Jennifer Barron-Sessoms; brothers, Dwey, Grady, Ricky and Rodney; sisters, Virginia and Catherine.
A memorial service will be held in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home on Friday September 23, 2022 at 11 AM. The family will receive visitors at Parrish Funeral Home on Friday one hour prior to the service.
Mr. Wood is survived by wife of 23 years, Sheila Proctor Wood of Clayton; daughter, Jessica Zavala and husband William of Clayton, Savannah Richardson and husband Jermaine Dublin of Lucama; brothers, Billy and Johnny; sisters, Carolyn, Michelle and Patricia; grandchildren, Norah Zavala, Dana Ryals, Zeke Ryals, Mason Ryals, Reine Dublin.
Mr. Wood loved to spend time with his grandchildren and riding his motorcycle.
