    Selma – Glenda Rose Pulley Heath, age 82, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 1, 2022, at 3:30 p.m. surrounded by her loving family, in Brian Center Health and Retirement, in Clayton, N.C. She was born, April 29, 1940 in Johnston County, N.C. to the late John Roland and Bertie Inez Pulley.

    Mrs. Heath had a true servant’s heart. She worked for many years at Dixie Belle Textiles. She spent 25 years working for Home Interiors and decorated homes from the coast to the mountains. She spent many years working for Affinity Healthcare, once again serving others.

    Mrs. Heath received a special award from Governor Pat McCrory in 2014 for her 37 years of service to Britthaven Nursing Home in Smithfield, N.C. where she led Sunday school and music to the elderly.

    Mrs. Heath served as a devoted member of the Selma Church of God for 48 years and was President of the Ladies Auxiliary for most of those years.

    The family will hold visitation on Tuesday, October 4, 2022, from 6:00- 8:00 p.m. at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with the burial to follow in Selma Memorial Gardens.

    Mrs. Heath is survived by her husband of 64 years, Walter Lee Heath, six children; Pam Heath of Princeton, Tim Heath and wife Brenda of Four Oaks, Tammy Pierce and Brenda husband Bill of Selma, Terry Heath and wife Debbie of Selma, Tony Heath and wife Brenda of Wilson, Ashely Stanley and Husband Coy of Micro; 14 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren, sister, Jewel Faison and sister-in-law, Linda Pulley, both of Selma.

    She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers; Billy Pulley, and Jimmy Pulley as well as her brother-in-law, Wayne Faison.
