Four Oaks – Gloria “Denise” Wood, age 65, passed away on Monday, January 8, 2024, in her home of Four Oaks. Born, January 2, 1959, in Wayne County she was the daughter of Kirby and Patrica Thompson Wood. She is preceded in death by her brother, Stephen Wood. Denise graduated high school from Moss Hill High School and then went on to get her degree in nursing. She was passionate about her career as a nurse, working as many shifts as she was able to help. Denise was a hardworking and very caring person. She would do anything she could for someone in need. She will be missed by her loving friends.
Denise is survived by her loving aunt, Sue Hart of Smithfield as well as many friends that she leaves behind.
