Dunn, NC: Mrs. Janie Coats Harvell, age 99, of Old Fairground Road passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 at her son’s home in the Philippines surrounded by her loving family. Memorial Services will be 2:00PM-Wednesday, August 24, 2022 at Lee’s Grove P. F. W. B. Church in Dunn. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Beasley.
Mrs. Harvell was born on June 23, 1923 in Harnett County to the late Seth Allen and Corinna Norris Coats. She was preceded in death by her husband, George T. Harvell; sons, Jerry Allen Ward, Frank Edward Ward; and several brothers and sisters. Mrs. Harvell was a homemaker and a member of Lee’s Grove P. F. W. B. Church.
Surviving is her son, Thomas J. Ward, III and wife, Joanne of Greensboro; seven grandchildren; nephews, Donny Stanley and wife, Estelle of Dunn, and Wayne Stanley of Dunn.
Family will receive friends immediately following the memorial services.
