Smithfield—John Robert Williams, 95, died on Thursday, June 9, 2022. Mr. Williams operated Williams Bakery at various locations in Smithfield for over 20 years. He was co-owner and helped start Johnston Ambulance Service.
Graveside Services will be conducted on Sunday, June 12, 2022 at 2:00 PM in Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield. Reverend Billie Lawson will officiate.
Surviving are his son, Jerry Clarke Williams and wife Debbie of Smithfield; grandsons Damien Williams (Elizabeth) and Dustin Williams (Lindsey); great-grandchildren Benjamin, MacRae, and Shepherd. He is preceded in death by his wife, Helene Barbour Williams.
The family will receive friends at the cemetery immediately following the service.
