Clayton – Joseph George Harsch, age 73, passed away Wednesday December 22, 2021 at Rex Hospital in Raleigh. He was born in Lehigh County, PA on November 11, 1948. In addition to his parents, Mr. Harsch is also preceded in death by brother, Vincent Harsch.
A memorial service will be held 11 AM on Tuesday December 28, 2021 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Clayton 2920 NC 42 West.
Mr. Harsch is survived by wife of 33 years, Barbara Wolle Harsch of Clayton; son, Jimmie Walsh and wife Amanda Walsh of Willow Spring; brother, William Harsch of Eureka Springs, AR; grandson, Mason Walsh of Willow Spring.
Mr. Harsch was a member at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Clayton where he also participated in the church’s OWL group. He was a proud Vietnam Veteran and served in many capacities with the NCVVI as well as the Vietnam Veterans of Smithfield.
