Ms. Joyce Ellen Jackson, age 63, passed away on Monday, February 27, 2023 at Wake Medical in Raleigh, NC. Funeral Services will be 4:00PM-Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Hood’s Grove Baptist Church, Newton Grove, NC. Revs. Frank Sandy and Dwight Braswell will officiate. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Ms. Jackson was born on October 28, 1959 in Harnett County, NC to the late Norman and Maggie Herring Jackson. She was a registered nurse working at Wake Medical Center in Raleigh, NC, and also Affinity Home Health in Dunn, NC. She attended Hoods Grove Baptist Church, Newton Grove, NC.
Survivors include her sons, Daniel Thornton of Coats, NC, and Adam Earl Thornton and wife, Jenna of Tampa, Florida; grandson, Benjamin Thornton; sister, Betty Blackman and husband, Billy of Benson, NC; brothers, Robert Jackson and wife, Lydia of Newton Grove, NC; Charles Jackson of Dunn, NC; Billy Ray Jackson and wife, Vicky of Benson, NC; and Kenneth Ray Jackson and wife, Tonya of Four Oaks, NC; several nieces and nephews, and a host of many friends.
The family will receive friends 6:00PM-8:00PM-Friday, March 3, 2023 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Benson, NC and other times at the home.
