Margaret (Peggy) Naveken passed away peacefully on December 8th, 2022 at the SECU Hospice House of Johnston Health. Peggy was born on July 25th, 1933 to John and Agnes Maloney in Bridgeport CT. She was married to Ronald Naveken on September 29th, 1956 and enjoyed over 66 years of marriage to her beloved husband and caretaker. After many years living in Connecticut, she and her husband moved to North Carolina 3 years ago to be closer to family.
Peggy loved talking on the phone with her sister Agnes. She was an avid UCONN Women’s Basketball fan. She was a baker that received several blue ribbons at the Berlin CT county fair. She also enjoyed word puzzles.
Peggy is survived by her loving Husband, Ron (Clayton, NC), Three children Rona (Dick) O’Donnell (Mt Pleasant, SC), Laura (Ed) Bader (Clayton, NC), and Brian (Janice) Naveken (Toledo, Ohio), seven grandchildren Kelly (Chris) Voges, Shannon (Brian) Minor, Clinton Bader, Alanna (Ben) Smith, Courtney (James) Hastings, Kailey (Jerry) Glesmer, and Katherine Naveken, and great grandchildren Logan, Blake, Harrison, Emmitt, Aviree, Kenna, JJ, Maisey and another expected in February.
She is also survived by her sister Agnes (Bob) Carr and several nieces and nephews
She was predeceased by her parents and daughter Kate who died at birth.
Peggy will be cremated with a private memorial service at a later date.
