Lillington, NC: Mrs. Nancy Lucas Snipes, age 78, of 97 Rocky Run Lane died Sunday, July 31, 2022 at Universal Skilled Nursing in Lillington. Funeral Services will be 3:00 PM, Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats. Burial will follow in Prospect Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Dunn. Rev. Ben Pearce will officiate.
Mrs. Snipes was born January 22, 1944 in Harnett County to the late Keel and Bessie Lucas. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Edward Snipes. Nancy retired from the Harnett County School System after 30 years, as a cafeteria manager where she made sure no child went hungry. Nancy was a loving Christian wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed cooking and was known for her homemade chocolate pies. Nancy had the biggest heart and made sure she showed it through her delicious recipes.
Surviving includes sons, J.E. Snipes and wife, Jackie of Saint Augustine, Fla., David Snipes and wife, Jan of Lillington, and Steve Snipes of Dunn; grandchildren, Tracy Snipes, James Snipes Ashley Melton and husband, Alan, Alyssa Yates and husband, Jackson, Dalton Snipes and Cole Snipes.
The family will receive friends at Rose & Graham Funeral Home in Coats on Wednesday, August 3 from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM.
