Richard Lavon Roberson was born April 8, 1948, in Johnston County NC. He was born to the late Roxanne Roberson and Kelly Terry.
Richard departed this earthly life on Thursday, September 22, 2022, at SECU Hospice House in Smithfield, NC.
He was educated in the Johnston County training school where he also graduated from. He worked at a gas station in Raleigh, NC, and was a truck driver for Boston Seafood, and The Tobacco Warehouse in Selma NC.
In addition, to his parents, Ricky was preceded in death by his brothers Porter Roberson (Dot), and Dennis Terry, a sister Mickey Roberson.
Ricky leaves to cherish his lovely wife of 14 years of marriage Shirley Williams Roberson. Two daughters Karen Roberson of Raleigh, NC, and Sharon Williams Douglas (Tony) of Selma NC. His sibling’s sisters; Wanda Blackwell of Selma NC, Mary Jenkins of Clayton NC, Terry Cohen, Aileen Terry, Darlene Terry, Jacqueline Terry, and brother Joseph Terry all of Baltimore Maryland. Seven grandchildren Chaquane, Derricka, Malayshia all of Raleigh NC. Jasmine (Adaya) of Fayetteville NC. Patrick (Kendra) of Apex NC. Tierra (Curt) and Shamika both of Smithfield NC, and Twelve Great Grandchildren.
He will be missed by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and host of other relatives and friends.
