He was born in Philadelphia, PA and raised on the Florida coast. He was a proud resident of Johnston County, NC and very well known in the local community for his cheerful attitude and giving nature. He held an associate degree in business and strove for success by applying the knowledge he obtained.
Bob seemed to always put a smile on everyone’s face around town. From the girls at the bank to the passersby at the local flea market. Through a simple joke or prank, he always seemed to brighten the day. He loved to go saltwater fishing anytime the opportunity arose and spent many of his younger days fishing and shrimping on the beautiful Florida coast. Whether it was by boat or by dock he was there. He will always be remembered as a wonderful and dearly loved father and grandfather with a tender, calm and loving persona. Every memory will truly be cherished by all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Let us take a moment to reflect on the unique qualities that made him such a special person in our lives. In the end, it’s not the years in your life that count, it’s the life in your years and he truly enjoyed every moment. One of his most notorious quotes to reference for almost every situation was (“It’s gonna be Okay”) Psalm 46:1 and by those words we will remember him happily.
