Samuel Leach was born February 2, 1941, in Smithfield, N.C. to the late Mary Francis and Herman Leach. Samuel departed this life on February 21, 2023.
Samuel attended Johnston County Training Scholl where he graduated in 1960. He worked from the age of 16 to the age of 67 at K. R. Edwards leaf and Tobacco, where he later retired. He then worked for Frank Lee Tobacco Warehouse as a security guard for 10 years.
He leaves to cherish his memories: his daughters Ethel Boylan, Ardesial Leach, and Senita Farmer; one son, Christopher Leach; sisters-in-law, Mittie Smith (Wayne) and Virginia Grantham; brothers-in-law, Edward Barfield and Mitchell Barfield. Samuel also leaves behind 12 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends. Samuel Leach will be missed dearly.
