Teresa Ann Hayes, age 59, passed away Wednesday evening December 29, 2021 in SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Born October 6, 1962 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Lloyd and Edna Strickland Hayes. She was preceded in death by her son, Timothy “Timmy” Hayes; brother, Clifton Hayes; and sisters, Lucille Messer, Debbie Heath and Cathy Hayes.

A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 3, 2022 in Antioch Church Cemetery, 5289 US-701, Four Oaks, NC 27524, with Rev. Gene DeWitt and Rev. Jimmy Price officiating.

Surviving are her son, Christopher Hayes and wife Amanda of Four Oaks; daughter, Melisa Hayes and husband Donald of Four Oaks; fiancé, Raymond Allen of Four Oaks; brothers, David Hayes and wife Bonnie of Smithfield, Rayvon Hayes and wife Sharon of Smithfield and Joe Hayes of Virginia; sisters, Sylvia Wall and husband Donnie of Benson and Linda Stephenson of Smithfield; and grandchildren, Erica Hayes, Landon Hayes, Manuel Vitela, Jeanetta Vitela, Madison Hayes and Breyden Hayes.
