Mary Yvonne Creech Moore, age 86, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Johnston UNC Health in Smithfield. Born February 26, 1936 in Johnston County she was a daughter of the late Arnold and Mary Creech. She was preceded in death by her brothers, Rueben Creech, Garland Creech and Joseph Creech; and sisters, Delia Ballance and Peggy Narron. Yvonne was a member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Smithfield.
Funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, June 17, 2022 at Parrish Funeral Home in Selma. Burial will follow at Riverside Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Friday just prior to the service at the funeral home.
Surviving are her husband, James H. “Blackie” Moore, Jr. of the home; sons, Jay Moore and wife Jennifer of Smithfield, Chris Moore and wife Dana of Raleigh, and Andy Moore and wife Lydia of Smithfield; brother, Bobby Creech of Selma; sister, Betty Faye Price of Rosewood; and grandchildren, Rachel Moore, Henry Moore, Lillie Moore, Hampton Moore, Griffin Moore, and Whitley Kate Moore.
