Beronia Ruth “Blondie” Capps, age 66, of Smithfield, died Saturday, October 31, 2020 at home. Born August 3, 1954 she was the daughter of the late Herman Wilson and Maude T. Capps. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Mary Pope and Esther Baker; brother, James Capps; and stepson, Charles Lee Massengill.
A memorial service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m., Thursday evening, November 5, 2020 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating.
Surviving are her daughters, Nedda Summerlin of the home and Laura Jones of Kenly; stepdaughters, Doris Woodall of Benson and Deana Batten of Four Oaks; long-time boyfriend, Luby Wallace of Surf City; brothers, Donnie Capps of Smithfield and J.T. Capps of Benson; sister, Jean Ganter of Berwick, PA; and many nieces and nephews.
