Coats, NC: Mr. Jerry Wayne Weaver, Sr., age 78, passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at Harnett Health in Lillington, NC. Funeral Services will be 3:00PM-Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at Rose & Graham Funeral Chapel in Coats, NC. Rev. John Mack Weaver, III will officiate. Burial will follow in Coats City Cemetery in Coats, NC.
Mr. Weaver was born on June 22, 1943 in Harnett County, NC to the late John Mack Weaver, Jr. and Betty Allen Weaver. He was preceded in death by his brother, Larry Weaver. Mr. Weaver retired from the automotive management industry. He was a member of the Coats Lion’s Club, where he received the Lion of the Year in 2019, and was also active with the North Carolina Blind Association.
Surviving include his wife, Sandy Weaver; children, Phil Castle and wife Janet, Jerry Wayne Weaver, Jr. and wife Sarah, John Mack Weaver, III and wife Jeanne, Mary Weaver, Sandi Gay and husband Erick, and Anna Simmermon and husband Jesse; sixteen grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren; sisters, Doris Allred and Betsy Weaver; several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends 1:15PM-2:45PM, Tuesday, November 30, 2021 prior to the service at Rose and Graham Funeral Home in Coats, NC.
Flowers are welcomed, however memorials may be made to the Coats Lions Club.
