Burglar Deliberately Floods House
JOHNSTON COUNTY – A Johnston County home sustained extensive damage after it was intentionally flooded by a burglar.
The incident was discovered April 13 at an address on NC Highway 50, north of McGee’s Crossroads.
The vacant home had been forcibly entered. The suspect or suspects turned on the water and purposely flooded the basement, leaving behind six inches of standing water.
No items were reported missing.
The burglary is under investigation by the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
