Selma – Thomas Walter “Buddy” Thacker, III, age 58, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 18, 2018. Born September 26, 1959 in Wake County he was a son of Martha Thacker of Prentiss, Maine and the late Thomas Walter Thacker II. He was preceded in death by his father-in-law, Veldon Ray White. Buddy worked as a registered nurse at Central Regional Hospital in Butner, NC.
Surviving are wife, Jawatta White Thacker of Selma; stepson, Tristan Hollon of Selma; step daughter, Kierra White of Farmville; and brother, Barry Wayne Thacker of Prentiss, Maine; mother-in-law, Linda Lou Crandall of Washington; a devoted godmother, Sue Currin of Prentiss, Maine; sister-in-law, Dawatta Williams of Selma; and three brothers-in-law, Jeffrey White of Washington, Marcus Garner of Simpson, and Magale Crandall of CA.
A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, September 23, 2018 in the chapel of Parrish Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Jordan officiating.
