“We’ve been tirelessly working to ensure an extraordinary experience, offering an array of sumptuous treats, including gourmet waffles with various toppings, 16 flavors of scoop ice cream, waffle nachos, stunning cake slices, mini cheesecakes, canned layered cakes (a first in NC!), and swirl ice cream with 14 types of toppers, guaranteeing something to delight every discerning palate. We are very excited about our first permanent location,” stated MacLachlan.
Spice Me Up

Adil El Haimeur and Youness Alqoh, owners of Spice Me Up, bring many years of experience as chefs and restaurateurs; chiefly, they also bring authentic Moroccan hospitality. Explaining, as he expertly poured traditional mint tea from a height from a silver Moroccan tea pot for his guests, this traditional ritual of Moroccan hospitality symbolizes their purpose for opening Spice Me Up at Old North State Food Hall.
“Spice Me Up is based on the Moroccan belief in offering our guests the best hospitality, the best food, the best comfort and surroundings,” said El Haimeur. Spice Me Up’s menu features traditional steak, lamb and grilled chicken gyro wraps, or served with basmati and vegetables with warm, flavorsome Moroccan spices, along with a shrimp bowl with tomato, onion, red cabbage, corn and feta cheese. Diners can also choose from healthy, vegetarian options including Greek salad, baba ghanoug, rice stuffed grape leaves, hummus, Tzatziki and freshly-made fries.
These new eateries join Aroma de Cuba, Luna Pizza, Mr. Outrageous Burgers, The Hot Dog Bar, White Swan BBQ and the Longleaf Tavern, offering a full-service bar as well as a unique event venue accommodating groups for all occasions, catered on-site by Provisions.
Also new to the food hall is the introduction of kids’ meals at most eateries, offering pint-sized portions at family friendly prices. The 15,000 square foot food hall offers a variety of delicious cuisines to locals as well as leisure and business travelers.
I hate mall food courts. I have no clue why a food court without a mall could be any better.
