Sunday Open House At Clayton Fire Station 1 Canceled

CLAYTON — Clayton Fire Department has canceled its Fire Prevention Week Open House scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 11 at Fire Station 1 because of the potential for severe weather.

Department officials said the decision was made with storms expected in the area and to allow firefighters to remain available for weather-related emergency calls.

The open house was planned as a family event during Fire Prevention Week.

The department thanked residents for their understanding and said it hopes to welcome families back to the station for a future event.
