CLAYTON – Clayton Police are alerting parents about a brand new TikTok challenge after a Clayton Middle School student brought a BB gun to school.
Police Chief Greg Tart said the idea behind the latest TikTok challenge is that students will bring “fake guns” to school and try not to get caught. Throughout the day, the student will video their interactions with the gun and other students on campus. The goal is to avoid getting caught.
After school, the student will upload their interactions with the gun to TikTok.
On Tuesday, a student brought a BB gun to Clayton Middle School as part of the challenge. The student was caught and no one was injured.
Parents are encouraged to talk with your children about the troubling trend.
Chief Tart said this can be a very dangerous situation.
