The Clayton Town Council has approved a request from Town Manager Adam Lindsay to hire an Economic Development Director.
Council members said that with the growth that Clayton is experiencing it would be a huge benefit to the town to have someone in this position.
Lindsay said that this position would help the Town of Clayton strength their economic development.
The Town will now advertise for the position.
