SMITHFIELD – Two people were transported to the hospital and one person was evaluated at the scene following a two vehicle accident Friday morning in the 1100 block of N. Brightleaf Boulevard near Booker Dairy Road.
The collision involved a minivan and SUV. Both vehicles sustained heavy front end damage.
The Smithfield Police Department, Smithfield Fire Department, and Johnston County EMS responded.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
