The Clayton Chamber of Commerce has named West Clayton Elementary school teacher Matthew True as the SUPER STAR Teacher of the Month for March.
SUPER STAR teachers demonstrate excellence and leadership in their classroom, creativity and motivation of their students and show a high level of commitment to our community.
True is known at West Clayton as the “cool” teacher. He is fun, innovative, engaging and energetic. He provides endless opportunities for his students to achieve academic excellence with classroom exploration and innovation teaching. He leads thru service both in his classroom and throughout the school.
Matthew recently helped turn the media center into a learning commons full of exciting new experiences. He also wants students to be engaged in their learning. He implemented “Matter Day” for the West Clayton 3rd graders so they could experience different types of matter and learn more about science. He leads in the classroom, the school and the community.
