18 Year-Old Charged With Break-In

SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has arrested a Four Oaks teenager in connection with a residential break-in outside the Smithfield city limits.

On October 16 around 5:18pm, a 23 year-old man said he was inside his Barbour Road home when he heard a loud noise. He went to investigate and reportedly heard someone kicking in his front door. Moments later the suspect kicked in the door, saw the homeowner inside, then fled in a vehicle parked nearby.

Following an investigation, Jalen Nicholas Watson, age 18, of Wood Valley Drive, Four Oaks was arrested Oct. 28 and charged with felony breaking and entering. The break-in appears to have be a random incident.

Watson was given a $2,500 secured bond.

    • That “teenager” “the 18 year old” received grace and mercy from God despite his behavior. HE IS more than blessed to be alive. Come into someone’s castle (home) and get the gift you deserve. I pray this young man learned his lesson….but somehow, I sincerely doubt it.

  1. Sherlock Homes said to Watson, so this is what you learned in school? 18 years old and doing a B and E, it’s a good thing the person living at the house didn’t blow you away. I know I would have! Good job JCSO. It’s just a shame that he only got $2,500 bail. I love our LEOs, but these Judges have to go!
