Beat The Heat At Clayton’s Popsicles In The Park On July 23

CLAYTON, N.C. — Families looking for a cool way to beat the summer heat are invited to Municipal Park for Popsicles in the Park, a free community event celebrating National Park and Recreation Month.

Hosted by the Town of Clayton Parks and Recreation Department, the event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Thursday, July 23, at Municipal Park, 325 McCullers Drive.

The family-friendly celebration will feature free popsicles, music, yard games and access to the park’s popular Splash Pad, giving children a chance to cool off while enjoying summer fun.

The event is free and open to the public.

Each July, communities across the country recognize National Park and Recreation Month, celebrating the parks and recreation professionals who help maintain public parks and provide programs that encourage healthy lifestyles, outdoor recreation and community connections.

During the event, families will also have an opportunity to meet members of Clayton Parks and Recreation and learn more about the department’s programs and activities offered throughout the year.

Municipal Park is home to one of Clayton’s most popular summer attractions, the Splash Pad, making it an ideal location for children to play and cool off during the warmer months.

Whether attending for the first time or returning for another year, organizers say Popsicles in the Park offers residents and visitors an opportunity to enjoy a relaxing summer morning with family, friends and neighbors.

Popsicles in the Park will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 23, at Municipal Park, 325 McCullers Drive, Clayton.
