UPDATE: Clayton Moves Popsicles In The Park To July 30

CLAYTON, N.C. — Families planning to attend Popsicles in the Park this week will have to wait a little longer.

Due to the forecast for rain on Thursday, July 23 the Town of Clayton Parks and Recreation Department has postponed the free community event by one week.

Popsicles in the Park will now be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, July 30, at Municipal Park, 325 McCullers Drive.

The annual event celebrates National Park and Recreation Month and features free popsicles, music, yard games and access to the park’s popular Splash Pad, giving children and families an opportunity to cool off while enjoying a summer day outdoors.

Families will also have an opportunity to meet members of the Clayton Parks and Recreation Department and learn more about programs and activities offered throughout the year.

The event is free and open to the public.
