The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has released images from a security camera at an ATM in hopes someone will recognize a robbery suspect.
Friday afternoon around 4:15pm, a Four Oaks woman had stopped at the ATM on Highway 210 at I-40 outside of Benson to withdraw money. As the woman turned to walk away, a black male suspect emerged from a vehicle and quickly approached the victim. The suspect demanded she hand over the money. She complied and the suspect fled. The victim was not harmed during the robbery, according to Sheriff’s Captain Jeff Caldwell.
No weapon was displayed.
Anyone who may recognize the suspect, a tall slender black male, or his vehicle is asked to contact the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office at 919-989-5000.
