CLAYTON – An accident involving a concrete truck caused significant traffic delays Wednesday morning in Clayton.
Around 8:30am, a Raleigh Concrete truck operated by Hanif Gentry, age 42, was turning from Highway 70 onto Highway 42 East when it overturned. The concrete truck struck the side of a black passenger car as it flipped on its side.

Gentry was transported to Wake Medical Center for treatment of unknown injuries. The driver of the car was not injured.
Clayton Police charged Gentry with an unsafe movement violation.

Highway 42 East was shutdown and one lane of Highway 70 was closed for over two hours.
