Halloween Haul Ends In Handcuffs At Johnston County Walmart

JOHNSTON COUNTY – A Nashville, NC woman is facing felony charges after deputies say she tried to steal Halloween decorations and electronics from a Johnston County Walmart, only to be caught.
Deputies were called to the Walmart on Veterans Parkway around 5:23 p.m. on October 20 for a report of a shoplifting in progress. When they arrived, they found 27-year-old Gabrielle Tandra Frazier still on the premises.
According to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office, store personnel alleged that Frazier attempted to leave with Halloween merchandise, an iPhone, and a PlayStation 5, with a total value of $1,572.81. The items were recovered and later returned to the store.
While taking Frazier into custody, deputies reportedly found suspected drug paraphernalia in her purse. A records check revealed an outstanding warrant in Nash County for failure to appear in court on a charge of driving with a revoked license.
The sheriff’s office said that after Frazier was transported to the Johnston County Detention Center, a detention officer discovered a small quantity of suspected crack cocaine concealed on her person.
Frazier was charged with felony larceny, felony possession of a controlled substance in a jail or prison, and possession of drug paraphernalia. She was booked into the Johnston County Detention Center.
