SMITHFIELD – The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office has charged a 46 year-old Smithfield man with two counts of attempted breaking and entering a motor vehicle and one count of attempted breaking and entering a building.
On June 4 around 5:27pm, a resident in the 1800 block of NC Highway 210, Smithfield reported someone tried to break into two cars at their home and also tried to break into a barn on the property.
The alleged suspect was identified as a nearby resident, Stephan Robbins of the 1900 block of NC Highway 210.
A warrant was obtained for Robbins arrest. He was arrested that evening.
Robbins was given a $6,000 secured bond on the three misdemeanor charges.
