A South Smithfield street will be closed for approximately two weeks while Town of Smithfield crews install a new water line.
Water and Sewer Superintendent Pat Butler said a section of South Second Street will be closed beginning today (Monday), weather permitting, and continuing for about two weeks between E. Davis Street and E. Riverside Drive.
Butler said crews will replace the water line as quickly as possible to minimize impact on residents in the area.
