Free Concert Series Returns To Downtown Smithfield

SMITHFIELD, N.C. – Smithfield’s Fall Fridays on Front concert series returns Friday, Sept. 11, with the first of three free concerts planned this fall at the Neuse River Amphitheater.

The concerts will be held on select Friday evenings at 7 p.m. at the amphitheater, located at 150 S. Front Street in Downtown Smithfield.

Food trucks will be on site for each concert, and attendees may bring lawn chairs or blankets.

Antique Outlaws Opens Series

The first concert, scheduled for Sept. 11, will feature Antique Outlaws.

The central North Carolina band performs a mix of classic country, Southern rock, outlaw country and newer country music.

The second concert will be held Oct. 9 and feature Riggsbee Road, an all-female band performing country, newgrass and popular music.

Final Concert Set For Nov. 6

SouLe & The SuperBand will close out the fall series on Nov. 6.

The group performs soul, Motown and R&B music and features vocals and a horn section.

Downtown Smithfield’s Wine Walk will also be held before the Nov. 6 concert, giving visitors an opportunity to visit participating downtown businesses before the music begins.

All three concerts are free and open to the public.
