Around 11:33 p.m. on August 21, Johnston County Sheriff’s deputies were called to a residence on Nutmeg Lane, off Glen Road, in response to a domestic-related incident. A search of the vehicle uncovered approximately 7 grams of suspected marijuana along with drug paraphernalia, according to officials.
Wellington was charged with fleeing to elude arrest, failure to heed a light or siren, resisting a public officer, simple possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia
He was booked into the Johnston County Detention Center and later released on a $50,000 bond. The white BMW was impounded.
