Johnston Deputies Discover Drugs Concealed In Unusual Spot

PRINCETON, N.C. — A routine traffic stop along U.S. 70 led to the discovery of fentanyl hidden in an unusual location and resulted in multiple felony charges, according to the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office.
Authorities said a deputy with the agency’s SAFE Team stopped a Kia passenger vehicle around 10 a.m. on April 8 near Rains Mill Road in Princeton after the driver was allegedly caught speeding 77 mph in a 55 mph zone.
During the stop, the deputy obtained consent to search the vehicle and discovered approximately 22.6 grams of suspected fentanyl concealed inside the car’s fuel door. Investigators estimated the street value of the drugs at about $2,260.
Deputies also seized a 9mm handgun, ammunition and a cellphone as part of the investigation.
The driver, Endia Samone Felder, 27, of Winston-Salem, was charged with three counts of trafficking fentanyl and one count of maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance.
Felder was taken to the Johnston County Detention Center, where she was initially held without bond. Her bond was later set at $250,000 secured.
The Kia was impounded.
