BENSON – A 15 year-old suspect is in juvenile custody following the shooting death of his older brother. At 6:16pm Sunday, Johnston County deputies responded to 1199 S. Pleasant- Coates Road in the McGee’s Crossroads community to a shooting incident.
Dispatchers reported an individual had been shot at the residence and driven to the 50-210 Fire Station, where he was transported by Johnston County EMS to Wake Med.
Sheriff’s investigators determined 25 year-old Tracy Marshawn Davis had been shot at his residence, at 1199 S. Pleasant-Coates Road.
Authorities believe the 15 year-old brother of Mr. Davis, who also lives at the same address, shot him.
Davis died at Wake Med as a result of his injuries.
The juvenile suspect was placed in custody on a juvenile petition charging him with the death Tracy Davis. The name of the 15 year-old was not released because of his age.
