Over 300 Duke Energy Customers Lose Power; Restoration Expected By Midnight

JOHNSTON COUNTY, N.C. — More than 300 Duke Energy customers in Johnston County were without electricity Tuesday night following a power outage in the Cleveland area.

According to Duke Energy’s outage map, approximately 330 customers were affected by the outage including neighborhoods near Plantation Road, Matthews Road, Indian Camp Road, Sommerset Drive, and Polenta Road.

The utility had not publicly identified the cause of the outage Tuesday night.

Duke Energy estimated power would be restored by approximately midnight.
