A second person involved in a traffic accident Wednesday in eastern Johnston County has died. The collision happened shortly before 5:00pm on Highway 70 and Dr. Donnie H. Jones Boulevard in Princeton.
Troopers said a Cadillac SUV driven by Lisa Hamilton, 55, of Smithfield pulled from the intersection into the path of a Nissan passenger car traveling eastbound on Highway 70 driven by Maudlin Kiser, 54, from Goldsboro. Hamilton died at the scene.
Maudlin Kiser was transported to Wake Med. We have now learned she died at the hospital.
The NC Highway Patrol is still investigating the crash and what may have caused Hamilton to pull in front of Kiser’s vehicle. There were no other occupants in the two vehicles.
