Suspects Who Murdered 15 Year-Old Captured In Rhode Island, Authorities Say

Law enforcement in Rhode Island captured two men Monday wanted in connection with the April 12th murder of a 15 year-old juvenile. The victim died from a gunshot wound inside a home at 112 Cimarron Drive in Harnett County.

The Harnett County Sheriff’s Office said today (Tuesday), Tommy Jackson, 23, of Sanford, NC and Jesse Richardson, 26, of Fayetteville, NC were taken into custody Monday with the assistance of the Middletown, RI Police Department, Newport, RI Police Department and Rhode Island State Police.

Jackson and Richardson are charged with first degree murder, first degree burglary, conspiracy to commit murder and possession of a stolen motor vehicle. At their time of their arrest, they were in possession of a handgun and operating a stolen vehicle.
Both suspects are awaiting extradition to North Carolina to stand trial.
