Injuries Reported In Three Car Collision

SMITHFIELD – A three car rear-end accident sent at least three people to area hospitals with possibly serious injuries.

The accident occurred around 11:00am today (Wednesday) during a heavy downpour in the westbound lanes of Highway 70 Business at Swift Creek Road.

Wilson’s Mills Fire, Johnston County EMS and the NC State Highway Patrol responded to the accident.
