Sentimental Items Stolen From Child’s Gravesite
DUNN – A Johnston County man says small ornaments and sentimental items were stolen from his son’s gravesite. The theft was reported at the Johnson Lee Cemetery on Lee-Johnson Road, Dunn in the Meadow community.
The stolen items had been placed on the grave of his 13 year-old son who died several years ago.
The items included an Easter flag, rabbit ornament, rabbit figurine, cat ornament and a bicycle-type figurine. They were taken sometime between April 5 and 10.
Several years ago, similar items were also stolen from the child’s grave. No arrests were ever made in that case.
The Johnston County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.

How sick can you be? To steal from a grave… specially a child’s grave! I hope you are haunted for this!!
I hope and pray that this piece of trash is caught and is haunted for the rest of your life for taking things from the grave of a child. How would you feel if it was done to your child’s grave. To the father of this child, if there are trees nearby, maybe you could put a trail camera up in one in order to try to catch a thief. Just a thought! I am so sorry this has happened to you and your family 🙏🙏🙏
Something similar happened to my family it ended up being the person who did grounds keeping the item had been removed after they were pushed off the grave by the wind…. They had to pick up the stuff so they could cut grass ….. So hopefully my comment will help
