Flasher Facing More Charges After Exposing Himself In Jail, Report Says

SMITHFIELD – A man authorities said exposed himself to female clerks at four businesses in Selma is facing more charges. On October 10, 2022, DeShawn Lamont Hodges, age 21, of Selma was located by Selma Police and arrested.

Hodges was wanted by police on four counts of indecent exposure for allegedly flashing female clerks. Two incidents happened September 29 at Family Dollar and Exxon. On October 10, he allegedly exposed himself inside Food Lion and Han-Dee Hugos.

Since his incarceration, Hodges allegedly exposed himself and made sexual gestures three times to female detention officers at the Johnston County Jail.

On November 11, 2022, Hodges was charged by Johnston County deputies with three counts of malicious conduct by a prisoner for the incidents in jail. All three are felony charges. The previous indecent exposure charges are misdemeanors.

At last report, Hodges remains in jail under $54,999 bond.
