CyberTip Leads To Arrest Of 75 Year-Old Man, JCSO Says

SELMA – A CyberTip from the Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force lead to the arrest of a Selma man on sexual exploitation charges.

In March 2023, the Johnston County Sheriff’s Office said they received the tip from the ICAC and launched a criminal investigation. On June 27, a search warrant was executed at the home of Robert Earl Lee, age 75, on Old Moore Road near Selma.

During the search warrant, inappropriate images of children was reportedly located and seized as evidence, authorities said. There was no indication any of the children depicted in the images were from the local area.

Lee was charged with third degree sexual exploitation of a minor, a felony. He was held on a $20,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.
