Report: Man Exposed Himself In Front Of Family, Assaulted Deputy

MIDDLESEX – A Johnston County man is facing multiple charges following an incident outside a Johnston County home.  Authorities allege Sean David Jones, age 31, of White Street, Selma walked up to members of a family standing outside their home, Sunday afternoon July 23, on Rolling Hills Lane, off NC Highway 39 North.

While in the front yard, Jones allegedly placed his finger in the face of an adult then slapped the victim in the cheek.  Jones then exposed his penis and began urinating in front of the entire family, including young children.

Johnston County deputies were contacted.  Responding officers said they found Sean Jones walking, not far from the residence.  Jones reportedly resisted arrest and struck a deputy in the head with his elbow.

Jones was charged with indecent exposure, assault on a law enforcement officer, resisting a public officer, trespassing, and simple assault.  He was held under a $50,000 secured bond at the Johnston County Jail.

Authorities said the family did not know Jones or why he randomly stopped at their residence.
